A few other highlights of the past week:
Our Ultrasound was last week. Spike is healthy and growing normally...as far as they can tell from a bunch of blotchy looking 2D black and white pictures. It's kind of like watching a movie from the 50s, except it's live...and of my uterus. Spike was moving all around in there even though I couldn't feel it. Part of me still thinks it was just a replay of someone else's ultrasound...how would we know? I'll post some more ultrasound pics soon.
Our first "Group" was last Wednesday. Back Cove Midwives have a pre-natal group where you meet with other soon-to-be parents due around the same time. This week was just introductions mostly but they will discuss labor and delivery, post-partum care, and other need-to-know baby things as we get closer to the due date. There were 7 couples total and we are all due at the end of October or beginning of November. Emily and Chris have said great things about Group and I think it will be really neat to go through this at the same time as these other couples. Plus, there's snacks.
I felt definite movement this week. Spike tends to wake up when I'm just lying down to go to sleep...this better not be a foreshadowing of the future... Spike hasn't quite made big enough movements for Rob to feel but there is no question that something is in there (see pictures...).
Since I never posted a 19 week picture, here it is:
Spike, your mom definitely looks pregnant, now.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are moving around and getting your exercise. You need to exercise daily to get ready to keep up with your cousins, Jack and Lexi. Your first photo has made you being much more of a reality for Gramma and PA. We take about driving out to Maine to meet you.
Love- Gramma and PA
