Introducing Fleck

It's official. The Reed Read will be adding an additional contributing member in just 7 short months. Fleck Reed, although only the size of a Kumquat, at the mature age of 7.5 weeks has already demonstrated his ability to deprive mommy of sleep, appetite, and the luxury of pooping most days. His (we are using the male pronoun for convenience sake) older sister is feeling the strain of a sibling as he causes mommy to lay on the couch (with frequent trips to the bathroom) all day instead of playing like we used to. Also, on Mexican night last week, mommy had to watch everyone else enjoy margaritas...

Despite little Fleck's wreaking havoc on mommy, we are overjoyed that he is joining our family. I often think I'm a bit crazy to start over, especially after our first is turning out so well (if I do say so myself). However, I know she needs a sibling and will love and cherish him as much as we all will.

Some details: We are due at Thanksgiving (Nov. 22 for those who don't know when the Pilgrims landed)
Sorry, we are NOT finding out the gender again.
His name is clearly Fleck.
So far, this is a very different pregnancy than with Spike.

She points to my belly (or any nearby belly) when asked where Fleck is.

Auntie Stephie put pigtails in Amelia's hair. She proceeded to attack Tristan.

Trying to distract her with "oo-va" (Grover) so we could get a picture.

ABCs

Amelia likes to repeat whatever I say (lately this has included "seriously" and "easy killer". I thought I'd try out the ABCs...she did pretty well and has been improving ever since!
Also, sorry for the lack of posts. Our hard drive bit the dust so we've been sans a computer for 2 weeks and counting...it's harder than it seems. Thanks everyone who has let us borrow one.

Amelia watches Laelia watching Amelia

We spend at least 40 minutes each morning watching videos of Laelia. Amelia asks for her by name and every time a video ends, she says "again" without missing a beat. Here's one of Amelia watching Laelia watch Amelia do her animal sounds.
