ABCs

Amelia likes to repeat whatever I say (lately this has included "seriously" and "easy killer". I thought I'd try out the ABCs...she did pretty well and has been improving ever since!

Also, sorry for the lack of posts. Our hard drive bit the dust so we've been sans a computer for 2 weeks and counting...it's harder than it seems. Thanks everyone who has let us borrow one.

Amelia watches Laelia watching Amelia

We spend at least 40 minutes each morning watching videos of Laelia. Amelia asks for her by name and every time a video ends, she says "again" without missing a beat. Here's one of Amelia watching Laelia watch Amelia do her animal sounds.

Homemade Playdough

Amelia Bedelia makes Banana Bread

First you add the flour, then the whole wheat flour.

Stir it up!

Adding sugar to the softened butter

Stir again. I added molasses too because it was supposed to be brown sugar but we didn't have any.

Squeezing thawed frozen bananas out of the peel.

She was so proud of herself!

Adding the bananas to the mixture

Careful! It's really full!

Taste testing the chocolate chips...

Ready for the oven!

Watching them bake.

No final product picture yet, they are still baking!

A Sorting Invitation

I mixed a bunch of animals, snap beads, and dolls on the floor and put their containers near by.

Amelia seemed to know what to do right away.

Here is the result after they got bored. I didn't do any of this.

Sorting in action.

The cousins are at it again.

Dueling Books (see video below)

From my perspective

Apples and Peanut Butter!

It's a race!
