Sunny Day at Smiling Hill

The McGillvray's and Amelia and I went to Smiling Hill Farm in search of some outdoor fun on this warm sunny March day. Unfortunately, all the animals still think it's winter and the barnyard was closed. So there was a parking lot and a cafe/store. Not quite what I had in mind. Amelia didn't seem to find it boring though!

She got her first taste of Chocolate milk straight from the glass bottle. I'm only holding it because there is a little vent hole in the spout that leaked all over her. She would have drank the whole pint if I didn't cut her off. I got a stomach ache just thinking about that.

Then we played the classic game of "walk around the parking lot". Amelia had a blast. She ran around for a good 20 minutes.

Amelia Bedelia Helps Out again

Amelia really wants to help out in the kitchen so I let her help me with the dishes on Saturday. She did a great job cleaning them off with her tongue!
And putting already clean dishes back in the sink. The chair has saved my arm from fatigue many times, she has also helped cook, chop, turn the toaster oven on, and clean the counter!

Tristan Turns ONE!

Tristan turned one on Friday and we had a big bash at our house on Saturday. Here are a few (slightly Amelia focused) highlights.

The new whine face followed by "Uh.....peeeze"
Grampy reading to Amelia.
Cousin Meghan made a month-by-month banner of Tristan! It's awesome!
Party Favors for the Lego themed party. Lego crayons, soap, and each kid's initial!

Wait, I'm how old again?
Amelia was a bit disheveled after a long afternoon of partying.
Yum Yum!

Lily Babysits

Lily (and Matt and Laura) babysat Amelia while I worked on Monday. Here are a few pics they took. Apparently there was a teapot war.

How did she get so old?

The Buck Stops Here. Well, at my feet, at least...

Well, I guess there are some advantages to having a sloped driveway.
